A new global enterprise, The Genii Group, has been launched by successful businessmen, Gerard Lopez and Eric Lux. The creation of The Genii Group is a natural result of a global restructuring initiative, so that Lux and Lopez could consolidate and more efficiently manage their diverse business portfolio which includes interests in Formula One™, with the Lotus F1™ Team, through to venture capital in technology, in association with Mangrove Capital Partners, which was an early investor in Skype™. Previously, The Genii Group’s financial services offering, Genii Capital, had been the master brand.

The Genii Group is split into six distinctive divisions: Finance, Real Estate, Automotive, Technology, Energy and Cleantech and will oversee Eric Lux’s and Gerard Lopez’s corporate and financial affairs across a wide spectrum of business, investment and networking.

• Genii Finance
Genii Capital will continue to provide investment management and take a financial advisory role in The Genii Group’s Finance division serving the needs of investors, international groups and governments worldwide.

• Genii Real Estate
The Real Estate division will manage Prodomos and Ikodomos Holding, major real estate developers in Europe.

• Genii Automotive
The automotive division of The Genii Group will oversee the running of the Lotus F1™ Team, one of the largest in world motorsport, alongside other significant interests within the automotive sector.

• Genii Technology
The Technology division will channel high-level expertise and investment in association with Mangrove Capital Partners, an early investor in the largest online communications provider Skype™, and co-founded by Mark Tluszcz and Hans-Jürgen Schmitz.

• Genii Energy
The Energy division will lead on the arrangement and financial advisory of large oil and gas deals, as well as other energy assets.

• Genii Cleantech
Through the Cleantech division, The Genii Group will target the world’s emerging economies to develop the most effective solutions in the important search for reliable renewable sources of energy.
