Could you please, in a few words, describe for us your company’s activity?
Marco Schalkwijk. – “Barco develops visualization and collaboration solutions to help you work together, share insights, and wow audiences. Our focus is on three core markets: Enterprise (from meeting and control rooms to corporate spaces), Healthcare (from the radiology department to the operating room), and Entertainment (from movie theaters to live events and attractions). In 2018, we realized sales of 1.028 billion euro. We have a global team of 3,600 employees, whose passion for technology is captured in 400 granted patents.
You have just joined the Paperjam Club. What convinced you to do so?
“First of all, we have been talking to one of the current members of the Paperjam Club about the opportunities for Barco in Luxembourg. We have just formed a new team in the Benelux and this is a good way to start building up our network. The pro-activity of the Paperjam organisation and the variety of ways to participate in the Club, like network events, newsletters, workshops, etc., gained our interest. On top of this, the impressive list of existing members and sponsors from other companies was one of the reasons to become a member of the Paperjam Club.
What in particular are you looking to get from the Club? And what does your organization have to offer to other Club members?
“As Barco, we want to be part of the international Luxembourg business community, looking for partnerships and ways to collaborate with other members from the Paperjam Club. Sharing knowledge and insights about business challenges and also have fun during the network events! We bring Paperjam experiences and stories of doing business in >90 countries and may count more than 70% of Fortune 500 companies to our client network.
We can help Paperjam Club members with finding the right solution for their collaboration challenges to get better results and messages that bring great impact through our visualization solutions. We can also connect Paperjam Club members to our network of customers and partners to show Barco’s contribution to the Club and build the joint network.”
