The Luxembourg independent law firm, Wildgen, Partners in Law, has officially announced the launching of its German Desk, a team of lawyers offering comprehensive legal assistance on Luxembourg law for its German-speaking clients.
Luxembourg has strong economic relations with German-speaking countries and in particular Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Companies of these countries are playing an increasing role in local life and industry sectors. The aim of Wildgen’s German Desk is to respond to the needs of this recent trend and to assist its clients with in-depth local and cross-border legal and regulatory expertise.
The dedicated team serves German-speaking clients, irrespective whether they are part of the German business community in Luxembourg or located in German-speaking countries searching for a Luxembourg full-service law firm. It includes several German-national lawyers, admitted on both Luxembourg and German bars, who assist clients and partners in their native language and who understand both cultural background and local, legal and regulatory constraints. All desk members speak three to four languages and are committed to quality of services and successful growth of businesses. They combine the expertise of different practice areas: corporate law, investment funds, banking&finance, tax, IP/TMT, litigation and arbitration.
Wildgen’s managing partner, Pierre Metzler, comments: “Recent years have seen a considerable increase in the number of German-speaking clients at Wildgen, investing in or through Luxembourg and asking us for legal advice and comprehensive assistance. We therefore decided to officially launch a multidisciplinary German Desk, led by our partner Mevlüde-Aysun Tokbag, Rechtsanwältin, who joined Wildgen, Partners in Law, in 2005. Tokbag has always been driven to develop new markets and relationships for the benefit of her clients and she uses her cultural and legal background in such sense. With her and her team on board, we know our clients will be provided with high-calibre and tailor-made services.”
Wildgen’s German Desk cooperates closely with local authorities, banks, accountants and other providers to support clients in their entry into and operation in Luxembourg. It also maintains strong relationships with a large number of law firms in German-speaking countries in order to provide support to local companies operating in these jurisdictions.
