Cargolux Airlines International today announced that it was honored once again by Budapest Airport with the "Best Performing Cargo Airline" award during the annual Customer Ceremony Award event organized by the Hungarian capital’s airport.

At the 2014 edition which was attended on 6 February by over 150 business partners including airlines, ground handlers, border control and other agencies, Cargolux bagged the award for the fifth year running.

Eva Balazs and Tony Mc Nichol of the Budapest Cargolux team accepted the award that was presented by Budapest Airport CEO Jost Lammers.

With the award, Budapest Airport recognizes the exemplary Cargolux services that connect the Hungarian capital with Europe, the Far East and the worldwide Cargolux network via its Luxembourg hub.

The airline currently operates four weekly flights into Ferencz Liszt Airport, utilizing its 747-8 freighters.

Budapest Airport acknowledges the operation of the advanced aircraft as a major step in paying respect to the environment and the neighbors in the airport’s surrounding communities.

Cargolux is about to celebrate its 12th anniversary of scheduled freighter flights into Budapest. The longevity of the successful operation and the reliable support of the Hungarian airfreight community are also recognized by the airport authorities, who highlighted the airline’s dedication and willingness to remain a solid partner for the local industry.
