Expériences professionnelles:

Former graphic director at Luxuriant magazine, where I redesigned the entire magazine to make its pages more readable, I then moved towards freelancing.

As a freelancer, I had the great opportunity to work directly with clients. I helped them convey their message and vision to a specific audience which had to be lured by the visual appearance before it decides to invest its time to peruse an entire page of copy.

To be able to come up with a working solution, I had to understand first the clients as human beings or corporate entities and then their business philosophy and needs. Only then I was able to find the graphic solution that can link the business with the targeted audience.

Compétences techniques:

Besides being an InDesign – Adobe Certified Expert I possess excellent knowledge of typography, grids, layout and composition.

Typography

- Good understanding of the anatomy of type

- Choosing and combining typefaces

- Formatting characters

- Using Glyphs and OpenFeatures

- Formatting with styles

- Setting up manuscript/modular grids

- Determining margins, page sizes, and aspect ratio

- Establishing hierarchy

Well, in this case, I can create for you workflows which will allow you to import copy from MS Word to InDesign faster. Through the power of InDesign’s Styles feature, I can automatize InDesign to apply text formatting faster for a large amount of copy and to use the right typographic settings that will allow the readers to feel comfortable while they read the publication.
