Lorraine Chéry is a Partner in the Employment Law, Pensions & Benefits practice of Arendt & Medernach. She advises employers on a wide range of employment law matters. Her practice focuses in particular on individual termination of employment contracts and complex separation cases, collective employment disputes, including collective dismissal procedures, employment litigation before
labour courts, and negotiation and settlement strategies.

She has extensive experience in contentious employment matters, representing employers in numerous individual and collective disputes.

Lorraine combines solid technical expertise with a pragmatic and strategic approach tailored to employers’ operational and reputational considerations. In addition to her advisory and litigation practice, Lorraine regularly speaks at conferences and professional events on current and emerging employment law topics.

She has been a member of ELSA (the Luxembourg Employment Law Specialists Association) since 2011 and EELA (European Employment Lawyers Association) since 2023.

Before joining Arendt & Medernach, Lorraine gained 12 years of experience working in a boutique law firm specialising in employment law that provided advice to employers on the rights of their employees worldwide. In this role, she dealt in particular with issues related to individual termination, sickness, social security and helped clients to reach settlement. She acquired solid experience in litigation by representing employers in a large number of cases before the labour courts. In addition, she contributed to developing knowledge management in the firm and has written numerous articles on employment law.
