Michael Burch is the CEO of ING in Luxembourg. He is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and his proven track record in driving strategy. Prior to that, he was CEO of BlackRock in Hungary and COO of BlackRock in Switzerland where he accumulated extensive experience in asset management, private and retail banking and wealth management. Mr. Burch was Managing Director and COO of Kleinwort Benson Bank Limited in London and the Channel Islands.
He started his career at The Boston Consulting Group where he was a Principal, focusing on strategy, M&A and change in the financial services industry. During his seven years with BCG, he worked for a number of international financial services clients. Mr. Burch holds a PhD in International Business and a MBA from University of St. Gallen (HSG).
