At the beginning of his career, GG Kirchner worked for ‘Design Manufaktur Schwäbisch Gmünd’ (1990 -1993) and ‘Bonetto Design’ (1991 - 1992) in Milan, Italy.
From 1993 to 2007 GG worked as an architect for ‘Valentiny Architects’, Luxembourg.
In 2010, he became a partner at the company.
2017 GG Kirchner joins ‘Metaform Architects’ as a partner of the firm. 
Including the 9 associates, ‘Metaform Architects’ today counts little over 50 employees. 
From 2017, the office expanded in Dubai and the ‘Metaform Architects Middle East ‘office is established. 
Since 2008, GG Kirchner has been teaching at various universities such as: ‘Hochschule Trier’, ‘Faculty of Architecture’ and ‘Hochschule für Technik & Wirtschaft des Saarlandes’.
