Before joining the CSSF in 1998, Jean‑Marc Goy, 49, worked a couple of years as an attorney‑at‑law for the Luxembourg law firm Elvinger, Dessoy & De Fierlant.He is now the Counsel for International Affairs of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. His task is to ensure the communication and relations with the foreign Supervisory Authorities in particular in relation to investment management.
He is representing the CSSF within a number of international forums, such as the ESMA Investment Management Standing Committee and its Sub-Groups, the International Organization of Securities Commissions and the Enlarged Contact Group.
He lectures in regulation of the financial sector at the University of Luxembourg and he is the Vice-President of the Board of the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research.
