Jean-Pierre Schmit is an ICT entrepreneur from Luxembourg.
He holds a Computer Science engineering degree form the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne an an MBA from HEC Lausanne, and started his career in banking IT in Switzerland working for IBM.
He returned in 2009 to Luxembourg and founded jemmic, a company digitalizing banks with a high focus on secure and convenient interactions between the client and the bank. Jean-Pierre is the CEO of jemmic and jemmic’s products and services are used by over 70 banks and 1 million users. In 2016, he acquired MaPS SA, a company producing software supporting data governance with PIM, MDM and DAM solutions, and in 2020 he set up the company for serious growth and took over the role of CEO.
Jean-Pierre is active in the Jonk Entrepreneuren asbl, was president of the Fédération des Jeunes dirigeants in 2019-2020 and likes to play the saxophone.
