Hackers of the world unite

This weekend, 10-12 June, at Level2 Hackerspace, we will host a B-Side Hackathon event from 6 p.m. Friday until 4 p.m. Sunday in replacement of the Hackathon.lu event which has been cancelled.

Hackathon.lu ticket holders are automatically registered. Just come by and start hacking.

Rules: Be excellent to each other. At Level2 we strongly believe in community driven projects and encourage all the participants to have fun together and help each other out in case someone gets stuck.

Topic(s): The Hackathon.lu core topic will be kept but, obviously, a B-Side will be announced on the day.

Teams: You can go “Han Solo” if you wish but teams of up to 5 people seem to work best.

Cost: The Hackathon will be self-covering in terms of food and drinks. For 5 euro we make sure there is a breakfast in the morning and we throw in a drink on the house.

Jury: There is no official jury. Everyone will get Level2 branded post-its which will count as 1 vote each. Thus, the jury will be everyone.

Prizes: There will be small prizes for the best teams. You will not be able to seed fund your next start-up but the fun factor is guaranteed.

Talks: No talks planned but we will do a quick intro session where all the Teams/Participants have an opportunity to present themselves.

Infrastructure: You will have access to a lot of material. From Arduino to Raspberry Pi over to the 3D-printer, you can use it all.

Showers & sleep: There will be NO SHOWERS, BUT, there is a swimming pool very close to the Hackerspace if you need to shower and the prices are affordable. Beds will not be available but there will be a quiet room where you can rest and get some shut-eye.

Food & drinks: There are ample opportunities to get food delivered to the space. At all times someone will be able to assist you in case of hunger.
