Biographie

Thierry Charon is co-head of Loyens & Loeff's VAT, Customs & International Trade Practice Group in the Benelux. He divides his time between Loyens & Loeff's Belgian and Luxembourg offices. He is also a member of the Loyens & Loeff Automotive Team and Asia-Pacific Region Team. For more than 20 years, Thierry has specialised in VAT, customs, excise duties, international trade matters, real estate and in transfer pricing matters. He also advises clients on real estate transactions. Thierry is a Lecturer in VAT law at the HUB, the Chairman of the European VAT Club and a member of the VAT Expert Group of the European Commission. He is also member of the Global Legal Customs Association (GLCA) as well as of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). Thierry is frequently asked to speak at seminars on VAT and customs-related matters.
