Most people will know  as a corporate high-flyer in Luxembourg: a former tax director for a big 4 company, an entrepreneur with her own business and most recently chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg until she left Luxembourg to return to the UK.  

Behind every corporate figure is a real person: Joanna loves Die Hard movies, she speaks French with an accent somewhere between Ballymoney, Northern Ireland and Geneva, Switzerland, and shares a birthday with British actor Jude Law, who she met at a BCC event.

She also went through two burnouts within five years, before changing her life completely in 2014 and leaving her tax career behind. These burnouts helped her find a new direction for her life—hoping to help break a culture of silence surrounding burnout and mental health in the workplace by sharing her story, and encourage people to take back control of their lives by taking back control of their choices. 

In this talk, Joanna will reflect on her anxiety, the stigma surrounding asking for help and ways to get a hold on anxiety.
