Intellectual Property Rights in digital projects
Stéphane Ambrosini
This workshop explains intellectual property rights arising in digital projects and their valorisation into company assets.
Companies engaged in transformative digital projects, conduct software and hardware developments which give rise to distinct forms of intellectual property rights such as inventions, trade names, designs, copyrights and trade secrets.
Businesses have a fiduciary interest in identifying and converting these IP rights, as intangible assets underwriting the corporate value and competitive advantage contributed by the project.
This workshop explains to a corporate, non-specialist audience, which types of IP rights relate to which aspects of digital projects, how to identify them and when to register them, and common pitfalls to avoid.
