German stadium funsters Deichkind are just the ticket to top of the bill on Saturday, while the brilliant Pixies provide a fitting climax on Sunday.
Apart from that, Parov Stelar’s electro swing, Tyler, The Creator’s hip-hop stylings, Gogol Bordello’s gypsy punk and a DJ set by Vitalic look like the best bet for some fun and energy.
Local acts this year includes hip-hop from Tommek, Freshdax and T-the Boss and also from artists on the De Läbbel label. Favoured indie kids Tuys, relative newcomers Austinn and Thorunn’s When Airy Met Fairy are also on the bill.
But the festival is always about more than the music--if the weather is good it provides a great day out to meet friends and relax in a party atmosphere. Oh, and the Euro 2016 final will be screened.
There are plenty of public transport options for getting to the site and a car park has been set up five minutes from the festival. Check out the Rock-a-Field website for full details.
