Celebrate Europe with a democracy village, food trucks, concerts and other activities.
Europe Day--9 May--will be marked with a festival at the Bâtiment Konrad Adenauer, the seat of the European Parliament in Luxembourg (17, rue John F. Kennedy, Plateau de Kirchberg, 2929 Luxembourg). The festival will be open from 12:00-18:00. You can visit the European Parliament, enjoy concerts or traditional dances (from Hungary, Poland, Estonia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Luxembourg and Latvia), see the official ceremony in the presence of the grand duke, or have some cake in honour of the 20th anniversary of the 2004 EU enlargement. Also on 9 May, the Festival3 place will take place in the Moselle (Schengen-Perl-Apach, Rue Robert Goebbels L-5444). It will take place from 11:00-22:00 and admission is free. Associations, winegrowers and residents of the German-French-Luxembourg border triangle region will show what the area has on offer. There will also be music and culinary delights. Find more info .
The University of Luxembourg’s Centre for Contemporary and Digital History is organising an open day at the Robert Schuman House in Clausen (4 rue Jules Wilhelm, L-2728 Luxembourg). There will be activities for young people (enigma game and interactive documentaries), an exhibition, guided tours (weather-permitting), a way to discover the past through a QR code and a forum on European history.
