This conference will address recent upheavals in the banking sector, geopolitical tensions, talent attraction challenges and look at what’s ahead. Is this the start of a new era in the financial sector?

Together with the French newspaper L’Opinion, Luxembourg for Finance is organising a two-day online conference that covers upcoming financial sector challenges and trends.

Speakers include Luxembourg’s finance minister Yuriko Backes (DP), Francis Malige (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), Mary-Françoise Renard (CERDI Université Clermont Auvergne), Christian de Boissieu (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Etienne Barel (Fédération Bancaire Française), Camille Fohl (Spuerkeess) and others.

They will discuss inflation, the impacts of Russia’s continued full-scale invasion of Ukraine, China’s place in the new world order, events that have had an effect on the banking sector, artificial intelligence, cyber risks and other topics.

The conference will take place in French, from 10:00-12:00 on 20 and 21 September. Find the full programme and register .
