The CinEast film festival is hosting a special charity fuindraiser screening of award-winning documentary The Earth Is Blue As An Orange.

The charity screening of Iryna Tsilyk documentary The Earth Is Blue As An Orange, which won the documentary award at Sundance in 2020, will raise funds to support the victims of the war in Ukraine. 

Organised by CinEast in collaboration with the LUkraine non-profit association and Kinepolis Luxembourg, 100% of the proceeds will be transferred to LUkraine asbl and used to purchase medical supplies, which will be delivered to those in need directly in Ukraine.

The screening will be followed by a discussion about the current humanitarian situation in Ukraine and how we can help.

As the director herself says: "Art does have power – it cracks the ice between us; it facilitates the processing of trauma. It gives witness to all that is funny, joyful and faced with laughter in the midst of remarkable darkness."
