A Framework for Public Speaking

Working in small groups participants will use the Cicero card deck tool as a framework to build and flesh out a compelling and effective oral presentation.  Once learned the Cicero framework can be used to build virtually any kind of speech.  From the wedding ones to the most complex inspirational calls to action

The most powerful thing in the world is born inside of us.  And that thing is an idea.  Yet, even the most brilliant, innovative or revolutionary ideas have no consequence if nobody ever learns about them.  The ability to express your ideas effectively is an indispensable skill for effecting change.  Cicero is a tool of 26 cards that you can place and arrange on a wall or table and which helps you analyse, structure and write your speeches.  Participant are invited to join this workshop with a short speech or presentation in mind that they wish to work on. Following a brief introduction to speech writing and a set of instructions, working in small groups participants will use the Cicero card deck tool as a framework to build and flesh out a compelling and effective oral presentation.  Participants will get receive feedback from peers.  Participants will leave with a good understanding of the Cicero framework, that can be used to build virtually any kind of speech.  From the a product pitch to the most complex inspirational calls to action.
