The Paperjam + Delano Club welcomes DGFM Luxembourg SA as a new member. Introduction in three questions.

Can you briefly describe your company’s activities?

Stephen Roberts. – “Davy Global Fund Management Luxembourg SA (‘DGFM Lux’) is the Luxembourg-domiciled third party AIFM/Management Company of the Davy Group. The Davy Group was founded in 1926 and is one of Ireland’s leading financial services groups, serving domestic and international clients, with offices in Luxembourg, Ireland, the UK and US and over 800 employees in total. DGFM Lux and DGFM Limited (our sister company based in Ireland) act as management company (UCITS ManCo, AIFM and Portfolio Manager) to third party funds domiciled in Europe, servicing over EUR 20bn of assets (as at Sep 2020). We specialise in fund governance and oversight, acting independently from the administrator and depositary, and have the necessary MiFID permissions to be able to provide the full portfolio management function, if required. We take an investment management approach to our governance and oversight duties and have a team of experienced in-house investment specialists who have themselves managed assets within the Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Credit sectors.

You have just joined the Paperjam + Delano Club. What are your reasons for doing so?

“To broaden our network of contacts in Luxembourg, both within our direct peer group covering the financial services sector and also more widely within the Luxembourg business community.

What are you looking for? And what do you think you can offer to the members you will meet here?

“We are looking to share our experiences of doing business both in Luxembourg and Ireland and to gain an insight into best practices from other practitioners within our sector and more widely within the Luxembourg business community. With over 90 years of history in Ireland, we have a wealth of experience in various areas of the financial services industry which we will be pleased to share with other members using the various forums available through the Club.”
