Since graduating from Paris film school in 1988, Jean-Claude Schlim has been working as line producer and executive producer on various international productions in Luxembourg.
In 2003 he started writing the first screenplay for "House of Boys". Released 6 years later, it won the Luxembourg Filmprize for Best Movie, as well as Category Prizes for Photography and Art Direction. It has since been critically acclaimed around the world. Jean-Claude is a member of the National Aids Committee and the author of two charity publications. In 2012 he presented the media campaign "Stop Serohobia" for the Luxembourgish Ministry of Health.

« Courage » has been one of the words often used by reviewers around the world to charactarize Jean-Claude's gay and lesbian cult movie « House of Boys ». There were certainly some brave moments or images, but does it really come down to courage, when one simply writes and produces a movie about AIDS ? Why do we have to keep struggling for the memory of a disease, that has always been connected with shame? In this moving speech, Jean-Claude looks back at of over 20 years of living with AIDS.
