Santosh Pandey: “In today’s world CIOs need to understand business more, only they can be a value addition to the business. 

What are you most proud of in your career?

“There are multiple moments to feel proud about, but the most satisfying is when our actions lead to creating of a sustainable planet. In ArcelorMittal we are doing multiple actions where I contribute directly and indirectly towards our goal to become a carbon neutral company by 2050 and more immediate target of achieving CO2 emission reduction by 35% by 2030. 

In your role, what are the challenges to be met in the coming years?

“As a CIO, the challenges are multiple, but most importantly how to keep pace with the rapidly evolving technological landscape with LLMs and how to prepare the company to be future proof and future ready to harness the full benefits of GenAI revolution.”
