Le Scandinavian IT Forum propose deux journées de conférences en parallèle à la Bureautec...Entretien avec Mathilde Nankwaya, l'organisatrice.
Could you explain us what "Nobelux" exactly is?
Nobelux (Belgian-Luxembourg-Nordic countries Chamber of Commerce) is a bilateral chamber of commerce between the Economic Union Belgium-Luxembourg and the Nordic countries. The chamber was created in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1997. Its aim is to contribute to the development of economic and trade relations between these countries. This is done through our membership networking activities, projects and other commercial services. Nobelux has just opened a branch in the Grand-Duché of Luxembourg.
This branch will enhance the contact network between our ? ? members in the Nordic countries and in Luxembourg-Belgium; and allow companies in Luxembourg and Belgium to make new business contacts in the Nordic countries. It also facilitates the arrival of new Nordic companies in these 2 countries - Belgian and Luxembourgisch companies. Finally, it will reinforce access to the information for companies on the markets we are working with. Further information regarding Nobelux is available on the website www.nobelux.se.
What are the objectives of the conference? Was it hard to obtain participation from some Scandinavian speakers or not?
Not at all, companies in Scandinavia are keen to provide a picture of the new developments in the field, share their experiences with others and illustrate new business opportunities with the new mobile services. ?
? Mobile services can be offered to Both B2B and B2C markets... Which one of the both do you think will be the most valuable?
B2B in a short perspective. It's generally easier for companies to start to use new techniques. Their target groups are more solid and it's easier for them to see and explain the benefits for their employees, partners and customers.
UMTS and GPRS were introduced as revolution for the users... Consumers and Telco companies look like not being ready to launch applications and services very fast... Was it hard to build a programme for this day?
No, not really, Scandinavia is in the front line of mobile techniques and here are a large amount of companies working with and developing both software, hardware and services for GPRS and UMTS. Telia for example launched one of the first GPRS-services in Sweden this autumn.
What can be the basis of exchange between Scandi-navian countries and Luxembourg in the e-banking sector?
I would say it is exchange of information and experiences.
More detailed information regarding the conference can be found on the website www.it-society.net.
