Following increased demand from China, Cargolux is adding two new gateways: Beijing and Xiamen.

In addition to Cargolux"s daily flights to Shanghai, operational since 1999, the company is now adding two new gateways: Beijing and Xiamen, following increased demand from China. This additional China service is operated on a twice-weekly basis, starting on 09 January 2006.

Flight CV 7481 leaves Luxembourg every Monday evening and is operated via Damascus and Dubai, arriving in Beijing on Tuesday evening at 9.05 p.m. local time. Departure from Beijing is at 10.35 p.m., with arrival in Xiamen at 01:15 a.m. on Wednesday early morning.

The second flight, CV 7484, leaves Luxembourg on Thursday evening and is operated via Kuwait, arriving in Beijing at 9.05 p.m. local time, with departure from Beijing at 10.35 p.m., and arrival in Xiamen at 1:15 a.m. on Saturday early morning.

Commodities on this new service consist mostly of clothing, machinery, computers and computer parts, as well as electrical and consumer goods.
