Please introduce yourself, and tell us a little bit about your start-up.
Guillaume de Vergnies.- “Over a year ago, before Stampify, I was already focusing on digitalising accounting service firms. Before that, I was involved in a Sustainable Tourism start-up which made me travel to every corner of Europe.
For the last 15 years, I have been volunteering in India for a non-profit organisation, ICHEC Housing Project, Donate! One thing about it is to observe how participants are organising their decision-making process. Stampify digitalises your corporate governance.
While saving time, killing paper and emails, Stampify converts it into a strategic asset for your stakeholders. It starts with a digital shareholder register, electronic signing and voting, and the opportunities from there are pretty endless.
From idea to implementation, there is only one step… and yet. What triggered your entrepreneurial journey?
“Becoming an entrepreneur happened before Stampify. With this start-up, the real trigger is the will of simplifying the entrepreneurial journey.
Stampify’s existing features and the upcoming ones are obvious experienced pains. Solving it and automating it for any other entrepreneurs is very exciting and allows us to give more time and resources to them, this is the Stampify impact on our ecosystem.
From there, building the right team will materialise your vision with a strong strategy.
What are the qualities needed to launch a start-up?
“Besides a consistent skillset and experience in relation to your product and market, a lot of self-confidence, mastering the goal setting with the abilities to listen, to learn and to invest yourself resiliently. These are your own keys to success.
From there, building the right team will materialise your vision with a strong strategy. Never give away your values and stay focused.
Do you have any advice for those who are still hesitant to get started?
“Entrepreneur or not, this is the question, hold on because it comes with a quick checklist. First, start with a strong team and make sure that your closest persons know what it takes to complete this path. Test yourself combining the daily life with your entrepreneurship eagerness.
Once getting started, beyond 9-to-5, you will need support to go through your successful mistakes.
We often hear that it is essential to make mistakes. What do you think of that?
“Making a mistake means ‘I recognise that I did something wrong’. Humility and curiosity are bigger than ego as far as I am concerned. Now, it is essential that you learn from it. Remember your start-up mantra: ‘Build, Test, Learn’.”
