Makeda recently joined the Investment Fund team within . Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, she was a trainee at the European Investment Fund (EIF) within the Legal Transactions – Equity Division in which she participated in several international transactions. Being an Associate within Eversheds Sutherland’s Company Funds Team, a large part of Makeda’s role is establishing funds, investment vehicles and asset management entities for national and international clients.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, writing, hiking and doing yoga. She is passionate about diversity, inclusion and the questions of Human Rights in Africa, Latin America and Europe. She completed her LL. M with her thesis topic comparing European, Latin American and African legal system.
