What can you share with us about your operations in Luxembourg?

Rudy Defoer: “is the European hub for our internationally oriented, EU-based clients serviced out of Luxembourg. Our goal is to become the reference in Wealth Management in the European Economic Area. Since our founding in 2016, our Assets under Management have grown significantly and the number of employees more than doubled. This makes us one of the top private banks in Luxembourg. We have branches in Ireland and Spain and we will expand to other countries in the near future.”

Tell us something about your clients…

“They are mostly sophisticated private individuals, families, and entrepreneurs with an international background. We also have a close cooperation with dedicated single and multi-family offices. Our clients appreciate the fact that we are a pure wealth manager and a strong international brand with one focus: deliver an excellent service so our clients can reach their goals. We are offering discretionary mandates in single and multi- asset classes. But we continue to invest as well, contrary to the current trend, into high level and tailor-made advisory services. We have a very competitive platform, highly renowned research and experienced advisors. As a result, we continue to attract many UHNWI who are looking for this type of service.”

Is succession planning part of your holistic advice?

“Of course. Preserving wealth over generations requires long-term, strategic thinking and is becoming ever more challenging in this fast-paced world. Thanks to many years of experience, our wealth planners have gained a profound knowledge of the different markets. More and more clients live and work abroad. In this context, our global network of experts combined with our local presence are key assets.”

Why select JB as wealth manager?

“I think three main criteria are crucial to select a wealth manager: expertise, personal relationship and solutions tailored to your needs. We aim to create true value for our clients through these criteria. As pure player in wealth management with a very strong balancesheet, we can focus on long-lasting client relationships with a very personalised approach for UHNWI. We are very proud of the recent award from Euromoney as World’s Best Bank for High-Net-Worth Individuals, which gives great motivation and the energy to our 6891 employees worldwide.”

The world is moving so fast these days. To what extent does this influence your business?

“I have been in this business for more than 20 years, but I have never experienced such an incredible pace with regards to change, both in terms of business and client needs. The rising importance of sustainable investments and considerations, digitalisation are just the most pressing examples. Julius Baer is following those trends very closely and is making dedicated investments to ensure we can best serve our clients, both digitally and personally: We are committed to support our clients along the journey.”
