Suite à l’événement «Start-up Stories: Round 2» organisé par le Paperjam Club le mercredi 12 juin au Knokke Out, l’un des start-upper, Tommaso Lemessi (Charlie24), partage sa vision d’entrepreneur.

Where did you get the idea of your start-up?

Tommaso Lemessi. - “After working for more than 7 years in the roadside assistance business at pan-europeans level, we saw an opportunity to digitalise and disrupt the market of roadside assistance. Therefore we decided to create Charlie24 to fix what has been a long-standing, nearly universal terrible experience: getting stuck in your car on the side of the road. We believe the old model of roadside assistance must make way for a modern, more digital approach.

Do you have any advice for those who are still hesitant to get started?

“Find the right team and believe in it. Trust the people you work with and make sure they put the same trust on you. The team and the support you will seek around you are keen to continue to overcome the challenges you will certainly have. Especially the support of your friends and family. This is something money cannot buy.

We often hear that it is essential to make mistakes. What do you think?

“Launching a company that want to disrupt a business procedure or simply make it better will by definition make mistake and errors because is changing the way that procedure has been done for years. Errors, A/B test, comebacks are the only real thing that can make your idea growing differently.”
