He advises fund sponsors on all legal, corporate and regulatory aspects of the structuring, establishment, marketing and ongoing operations of alternative investment funds, with a particular focus on real estate, private equity, debt and venture capital funds.

Before joining Arendt & Medernach in 2017, he worked for several years as a lawyer for major international law firms in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

He holds a doctorate in international business law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Mainz as well as a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of East Anglia, Norwich Law School, United Kingdom (UK).

In addition, Jan Saalfrank studied law in Bayreuth, Birmingham (UK) and Trier, and has passed the first (2008) and second (2013) German state exam.

Jan Saalfrank is admitted to the bars of Frankfurt am Main (Germany) and Luxembourg.
