Significant steps forward have been taken including COP21 and the Paris agreement, but these targets require huge implementation by both wealthy and poor nations. Francis Carpenter, previous CEO of the European Investment Fund, highlighted the important role that both institutional and private financiers have to play. He highlighted some of the many actions in progress initiated by the European Commission, the EIB and the EIF. The future is optimistic, but it will require all of us to engage with these very important issues.
