The Luxembourg Institute of Directors (Institut luxembourgeois des administrateurs, Ila), which currently counts with more than 1,350 members, held its annual meeting last 27th of June at La Luxembourgeoise.

This is the second annual meeting chaired by Raymond Schadeck, who presented the results of 2016 and the objectives of the association for the upcoming years.

At the annual meeting, the Ila board was partially renewed, five of its members were re-elected and four new members were designated. After the annual meeting, the new Ila board confirmed Raymond Schadeck as chairman of Ila for a period of two years.

The annual meeting was followed by a conference on “Directing Digitalisation: Guidelines for Boards and Executives” by Ludo Van der Heyden (founding director of INSEAD’s Corporate Governance Initiative and co-director of the International Directors Program), where more than 130 Ila members had the opportunity to discover the findings of the second report on the topic of Digital, published by the INSEAD Corporate Governance Initiative.

As it is tradition, the day ended with the award ceremony, where 14 new Ila certified directors received their certification. With them, there are now 89 directors certified by Ila in Luxembourg. Following the award ceremony, a cocktail offered by La Luxembourgeoise gave the participants to the annual meeting and to the Digitalisation Conference the opportunity to network.
