Replacing NOVA TV's analogue system with a complete tape less platform, is giving the channel the ability to manage the whole broadcasting workflow in a fast, flexible and reliable way.
As a second phase of that project, on saturday 18th August 2007, NOVA TV is making its first news production using their Digital Production facilities. This tape less platform designed by BCE has the ability to manage studio news productions and videos faster than real time, using servers, non linear editing suites and management software.
BCE installed two main studios, each with a dedicated control room. The first studio is focusing on News & Sports production and also morning shows. The second studio is dedicated to bigger productions such as weekly TV shows.
Tun Van Rijswijck, Chief Operating Officer, said: "BCE's main objective is to create a turnkey solution allowing NOVA TV's staff to work faster and more cost-effective".
Pavel Stanchev, General Manager of NOVA TV commented: "The new digital working environment will allow us to deliver a substantially improved news and entertainment content to our millions of viewers".
The final step of Broadcasting Center Europe will be to ensure that NOVA TV is completely autonomous, on both technical and usage levels.
