HSBC announced the appointment of Nick Maton as the new head of Securities Services for HSBC in Luxembourg with effect from 19 December 2016. Nick will be responsible for the Securities Services business in Luxembourg and leading its growth agenda. Nick will report to Rafael Moral Santiago, head of HSBC Securities Services Europe, and will join the executive committee of HSBC in Luxembourg led by Lars Rejding, country chief executive officer, Luxembourg.

Nick originally joined HSBC in May 2015 to lead the Asset Manager Product Solutions proposition and prior to HSBC has spent nearly 25 years in the fund services industry across a number of organisations and roles. Nick Maton said: “Since joining HSBC I have been impressed with their ambition to grow the Luxembourg and European franchise across all investment strategies and products. I am now delighted to have an opportunity to help play a leadership role in delivering the growth agenda for Luxembourg.”
