Ministers Jeannot Krecké, Nicolas Schmit and Claude Wiseler meet Richard J. Kramer and members of the Board and high ranking executives at Château de Septfontaines – Jeannot Krecké signs agreements to support two new research-development and innovation projects to be undertaken by the Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg and Goodyear Dunlop Tire Operations S.A., Colmar-Berg.

On May 30th, after a Board visit to Colmar-Berg, Richard J. Kramer, chairman, president and CEO, Members of the Board of Directors of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Arthur de Bok, President of The Company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa business and other high level executives of Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe B.V., Goodyear Dunlop Tires Operations S.A. (Colmar-Berg) and Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg (Colmar-Berg) joined Jeannot Krecké, Minister of the Economy and Foreign Trade, Nicolas Schmit, Minister of Labour, Employment and Immigration and Claude Wiseler, Minister for Sustainable Development and Infrastructure for a common dinner in Château de Septfontaines, Luxembourg.

On this occasion Richard J. Kramer declared that “Goodyear is strongly committed to their R&D center of excellence in Colmar-Berg.”

Jeannot Krecké confirmed the pride of the Luxembourg country to host the largest research-development, innovation and testing center of Goodyear outside the U.S., the largest truck and earthmover tire production plant, the European Goodyear Dunlop Tire Operations headquarters and several other facilities.
While signing agreements with Arthur de Bok and other high executives of Goodyear S.A. and Goodyear Dunlop Tires Operations S.A. on two new research and development projects, Jeannot Krecké declared that “the Luxembourg Government will continue to support Goodyear’s R&D efforts to maintain and develop its worldwide leading position in tire manufacturing. The Goodyear Innovation Center is an important cornerstone in our national EU 2020 strategy to become one of the finest locations in Europe if not in the world for high tech, innovation and intellectual property driven activities”.
