EuroCloud Luxembourg has just awarded LuxCloud Best Cloud Service Product as part of its local awards competition, thus recognizing and honoring the company’s outstanding performance.

EuroCloud Luxembourg, the association of the Luxembourg Cloud computing and SaaS industry and member of the pan-European EuroCloud network (www.eurocloud.org), launched its first edition of the “EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards in 2011”. This award program was organized with the support of ITnation.eu and winners were announced at the “Golden-i” Gala and Awards Ceremony” on 19th of May 2011.

The "EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards" is a unique occasion to help increase the visibility of innovative local companies in the field of Cloud computing and SaaS and to help setting up a marketplace for Cloud computing and SaaS applications in Luxembourg. Winners of the EuroCloud Luxembourg Awards will also be given the opportunity to apply automatically for the EuroCloud European Awards 2011 alongside other European countries. Winners of the local award programs will be presented at the European EuroCloud Congress on 27/28 of June 2011 in Luxembourg.

Awards included best start-up, best cloud offering, and best user case study in both commercial and public sector categories. The Best Cloud Service Product category awarded to LuxCloud, was open to Cloud services that are best positioned for high market acceptance owing to the specific features provided. This special value was determined by the capabilities of the solution offered; by the strong connectivity and interoperability of the service; and/or a more flexible and effective utilization of datacenter resources.
