Today Luxembourg-based sensing specialist IEE S.A announced the appointment of Mr Michel Witte as the new Chief Executive Officer of the IEE Group. Mr Witte, who was one of the founders of IEE and the company’s Chief Operating Officer, replaces outgoing CEO Hubert Jacobs van Merlen who stepped down earlier this month.

Company Chairman Mr Guangrong Han said that Mr Witte’s excellent business skills, industry background and experience with the company made him the ideal person to take on the role.

“Michel Witte was one of the founders of the company 24 years ago, so he knows IEE in and out,” he says. “He is also well-respected within the industry. His passion for IEE, its people, products and customers make him the ideal choice to take over from Mr Jacobs van Merlen. The shareholders and I are confident that Mr Witte will take the company to new heights with innovative technology, improved market share and increased customer satisfaction.”

Mr Witte said that taking on the role of CEO was a great opportunity. “I am honored to be leading IEE into the next phase of its development,” he says. “Mr Jacobs van Merlen has established a strong foundation for IEE and my challenge is to develop it into an even more successful organization. I have a good team around me and with them, and the support of our shareholders, I am confident that IEE has a very positive future ahead of it.”
