Pursuing its selective hiring for growth strategy, HSBC Private Bank has been reinforcing its client service and investment management teams in Geneva, Zurich, Luxembourg and Dubai, attracting a number of new hires from competitors.
To strengthen its front-line team servicing European clients, HSBC recruited Achilles Fokiades from Credit Suisse as Senior Relationship Manager for the Greek desk in Geneva, Cyrine Ben Chiboub from JP Morgan as Senior Relationship Manager for the Atlantic Institutional Team in Geneva, and Andrew Larsson from UBS as Senior Relationship Manager for the UK desk in Zurich.
Our Luxembourg office, which forms part of HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA, recruited Peter Markmann as Senior Relationship Manager for the Scandinavian desk, John Paul Keane as Senior Relationship Manager for the Multi-Family Office team and Fabio Martinuzzi as Senior Relationship Manager for the Europe International team.
The Middle Eastern team in Geneva appointed Bachir Barakat (ex-Coutts) as Senior Relationship Manager, in addition to promoting Saudi Arabia Business Head Carla Abou-Rjeily to the role of Deputy Market Head for MENA and former Chief Administrative Officer Nikhil Chawla to a Business Head for MENA.
In its Dubai branch office, established in 2016, Private Bank (Suisse) SA also hired Giridhar Bhatia (former BNP Paribas) and Catherine Falk as Relationship Managers servicing clients from the United Arab Emirates.
As well as boosting our regional client servicing teams, we attracted new hires for our investment management unit in Geneva. Guillaume Deloche de Noyelle joined as Investment Manager from Société Générale and Michael Leroux as Product Specialist Trader from HSBC’s operation in the UK. Sandrine Rol came on board from HSBC’s office in the US to lead the Discretionary offering sales efforts, while Lauren Hendren was recruited from UBS Switzerland to strengthen HSBC’s Geneva-based Portfolio Management Support team.
