Dimension Data, the global specialist IT solutions and services provider, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services (COPS) report.

Compiled by Gartner analysts, the Magic Quadrant examined 19 vendors of IT services for business communications systems worldwide, employing two main evaluation criteria. These include ‘ability to execute’ and ‘completeness of vision’.

Dimension Data CEO, Brett Dawson said, “Our placement in the Leaders Quadrant is an important milestone for Dimension Data as we believe it illustrates that the market – and most importantly our clients – recognise the significant progress we’ve made on our journey towards becoming a world-leading services-led organisation.

“Our strategy has been well served by the significant investments we made in the past year. These include the acquisition of US-based enterprise cloud computing company OpSource in July, along with the creation of a centralised Cloud Solutions Business Unit. These moves accelerated our cloud computing service offerings and provide our clients with more flexible, services-centric, IT sourcing options.

“Part of our success can also be attributed to our investment in a world-class service management infrastructure. As a result we were able to increase our success in the Managed Services space and, against the backdrop of a tough and volatile economic climate in all the five regions in which we operate, we achieved double digit revenue growth in the financial year ended September 2011.

“Globally, more and more of our in-country and multi-country clients are calling for a consistent and comprehensive support offering across multi-technologies, multi-vendors and multi-geographies. This is a key priority for the Group both now and into the future. Dimension Data is committed to investing in, and enhancing its infrastructure and service capabilities to deliver unsurpassed global solutions to our clients wherever they do business in the world.”
