La conférence avec Paul Krugman constituait le discours d'ouverture d'une Research Conference intitulée "Inequality and the Status of the Middle Class: Lessons from the Luxembourg Income Study" qui se déroule du 29 au 30 juin 2010 à Luxembourg (www.lisproject.lu).

Après Lech Walesa en 2007, la Fondation Alphonse Weicker a ainsi une nouvelle fois su attirer un orateur de grand renom au Luxembourg.
