Earlier awards were received in Spain in 2005 and 2003. The criteria for this award are quality, network, fleet, post sales service and friendliness of staff.
On behalf of Cargolux, Mrs. Merce Saboya, Country Manager Spain and responsible for the company’s Spanish operation, together with her managers and staff from Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia plus representatives form Cargolux’s headquarters in Luxembourg, accepted the award at Barcelona’s Maritime Museum on 20 December 2007 from Fernando Echegaray, Manager of Barcelona Airport, in the presence of 800 guests. Additional awards were given to representatives of the Spanish sea freight industry and the Port of Barcelona.
“This award is a great honour for us in Spain and our headquarters in Luxembourg. Our all-cargo service to Spain is operated for the benefits of our local client base and has been welcomed by forwarders and shippers”, states Merce Saboya.
Cargolux started flights to Barcelona in June 2004 and, today, operates three weekly services on its return flights from Asia in addition to regular trucking services between Cargolux’s hub in Luxembourg and major Spanish cities.
