Alter Domus, a leading provider of fund and corporate services, dedicated to international private equity & infrastructure houses, real estate firms, private debt managers, multinationals, capital markets issuers and private clients, is pleased to announce that on 7 October its office in Ireland has been authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) to provide fund administration services.

This exciting development positions Alter Domus as the first independent real estate, private equity and private debt specialist administrative service provider in Ireland. With the granting of this authorisation, Alter Domus can now offer the full suite of fund administration services to alternative investment funds in Ireland.

Laurent Vanderweyen, CEO of Alter Domus, commented that: “The cornerstone of Alter Domus’ global business pursuit revolves around our vertically integrated approach, providing our clients with the benefits of a single provider from fund through holding structure, down to local entities across the multiple jurisdictions in which we operate. The addition of Ireland, as an evolving centre for fund structuring in the Pere domain, is a natural addition for us in responding to our clients’ vertical integration needs.”

Ireland is an attractive jurisdiction for Alter Domus to launch this new service, Dublin already being a popular investment structuring destination for non-European fund managers, particularly from the US, looking for an entry point into the European market. Alter Domus, as a well-established provider in the alternatives domain across continental Europe, recognises the strategic importance of further building its presence in Ireland as this jurisdiction continues to attract interest from our clients in North America, the United Kingdom and beyond.

James McEvoy, country executive Ireland, commented: “Having rapidly grown our corporate services operations in Ireland over the past two years, bringing our specialist fund services offering to the Irish market is a significant milestone, enabling us to broaden our scope of services in order to match, and indeed anticipate, the future needs of our clients. The launch of our fund services in Ireland is an exciting step in that pursuit ensuring we are well placed to meet the needs of our clients in the locations in which they choose to operate.”

Alter Domus is proud to be already servicing assets in excess of 100bn USD.
