ALFI, the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry, today launches EXPRESS: The ALFI Podcast, a portal to fund industry insight and expertise. The weekly podcasts, which are only a few minutes long, will offer listeners unique insight from industry leaders on important topics and themes affecting the global fund industry.

Camille Thommes, Director General of ALFI, said: “One of ALFI’s objectives is to, inform and communicate with professionals from all areas of the asset and fund industry, as well as to promote Luxembourg as the most attractive investment funds centre worldwide. The podcasts will allow fund professionals to get the latest views and opinions on issues of importance to the global asset and fund management industry.”

The podcasts offer access to some of the industry’s leading professionals, who will examine and talk about subjects such as regulation, global distribution, tax and operations affecting the fund industry. The first podcast features Rafik Fischer, former chairman of ALFI, current general manager and head of global investor services of KBL European private bankers. This initial podcast looks at how Europe will cope with the flood of regulation on its way over the coming months and whether Europe is suffering from over-regulation.
