Surveys show that the Financial Professionals’ business will double in the next years in Luxembourg.  With this launch ABN Amro demonstrates it is ready for a leading role in the support of this rapidly growing client segment.

ABN Amro launched the product at an event at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, where 200 business partners of the bank attended. Also on the agenda were addresses by Gerrit Zalm, former Minister of Finance of the Netherlands and currently CEO of ABN Amro and Han de Jong, Chief Economist of the Bank.  The latter shared his positive outlook on the macro-economic development, while the CEO gave insight into the strategy of the Bank.  As Peter Aelbers, CEO Private Banking Luxembourg states: `The introduction of these services today underlines the importance of Luxembourg as financial centre and ABN Amro’s strategy in developing Private Banking internationally, of which Financial Professionals are an important part`.

The 200 guests, primarily Family Offices and Independent Asset Managers, were given a thorough overview of the offering as well as an insight into the Bank’s best in class IT solution tailored for these professionals.

Especially the possibility to consolidate portfolios held in multiple banks and the online portfolio management capabilities were well received.  Bert Boerman, ABN Amro’s Head of Financial Professionals declares: “Our clients and business partners gave us extremely positive feedback on what they saw on screen today.  This clearly shows that we have made the right choice to invest in this segment.”
