Central to our success are the different perspectives which our people bring, as a firm. Our network gathers 48 offices worldwide. Being diverse is thus obvious. Being inclusive is less obvious, but key to the richness, efficiency and attraction as well as the attractivity and leadership we offer to the market.
More than words, real acts
In Luxembourg, our multicultural team (more than 5 nationalities represented in our 30‑people team) has been locally committed to citizenship projects since the launch of the office, 5 years ago. Our target is to facilitate and promote inclusion for all, and cross‑field programs are our favorite projects.
Women at work
Dress for Success and its work-readiness program grasped our attention 3 years ago, since it allows women in difficulties, many of them refugees, to be informed, trained and prepared to participate in the Luxembourg labor market. Members of our team actively participate in their workshops. Work means social integration, financial independence, a decent life, perspectives, i.e. a fresh start for these women.
Just being yourself
We are convinced that ethnicity, gender, sexual identity and orientation shouldn't be an issue, especially in the work place. We are member of our internal Pride+ network and regularly promote our inclusion policy internally as well as to our clients through training sessions and events.
And when a handicap or a disability comes up…
The Ligue HMC is a Luxembourg association, established 55 years ago, to support the people with intellectual disabilities and to commit to their professional, social and cultural inclusion.
One of the ways to achieve these goals is to offer them a real job in their over 20 workshops (restauration, handcraft, artistic or subcontracting workshops, gardening, shops...), but also to supervise training periods to volunteer firms, short term or permanent contracts in “outside” firms.
Of course, when one is thinking about a trainee with intellectual disabilities, the image that springs to mind is not of an assistant in a law firm. We made a try, last spring for a one-month training period. And it worked so well that the training period had been extended! Working with this person shattered all prejudices anyone could have. Isn’t it that the ultimate goal of an inclusion policy?
Artists stand against disease
Art2Cure is one of a kind charity: a combination of supporting artists and raising funds for medical research through organizing art exhibitions. We felt honored to do our bit participating in the 2018 New York exhibition and the Luxembourg one. This year’s art events raised almost USD 1 million, which was evenly split between participating artists and medical research (University of Luxembourg, University of Columbia, and Plooschter Projet).
