The nature of work has changed, and workplace needs and expectations have changed with it. In a competitive workforce market, it is important to think differently and to explore the shifting dynamics of employment needs. What are the talents of today looking for?

Our risk awareness has massively changed in the last years and the need for protection and security is greater than ever. According to a 2023 survey, 54% of people have a stronger need for financial protection, for example, through Life and Disability coverage.* This is not surprising as 31% of employees have already experienced loss of income due to illness and when it comes to the household savings, 18% of the respondents had no savings and 20% said their savings would last less than 3 months.

Companies must now offer employees an attractive package that includes flexibility and protection for themselves and their loved ones. Protecting them against the financial impact of death and disability is key to attract and to retain the top talents.

We indeed asked employees in the mentioned study what impact it would have if their employer offered to take care of their life and disability cover: 47% would consider their employer as more attractive and 25% would think less about changing employers.
