Paperjam et l’Adem présentent un jeune demandeur d’emploi dans le cadre du programme de la Garantie pour la jeunesse. Un moyen de découvrir les «talents cachés du Luxembourg» et ce qu’ils peuvent apporter aux entreprises. Aujourd’hui, Sandrine Lagarde.
The job I am looking for:
"I am looking for new opportunities; respectively a daring, stimulating and disruptive change. I am a passionate.
Education: BA law & management
"Before joining Commerzbank AG, Luxembourg branch, as a trainee, I worked in a law firm in London and L.A., California. It was interesting to see the different management styles and also evaluate which worked best for me. My traineeship was a great and impactful experience. Indeed not only did it allow for a gain in knowledge and practical skills, but also in self-confidence. I am grateful to my supervisor who would continuously thank me for my good work and encourage me.
"Negotiation and management skills, Business Ethics, marketing, scots law, American business law, contract law, Luxembourg company law & project finance documentation.
What can I bring to the firm?
"The extent of what I can bring to the company also depends on how much the company is willing to receive and whether it is open to change.
Throughout my professional experience, I have shown adaptability, creativity, enthusiasm, teamwork, strong analytical skills, empathy, determination, hard work, curiosity and no pretentiousness to knowing it all already. A learning by doing environment suits me perfectly. Before I would plan things out too much in advance in the quest for perfection only to remain in the status quo; now I tend to just go for it and ask questions later. No need to instruct me on every single step to take. Being autonomous and proactive in my work, I anticipate, test and suggest the next possible steps.
Areas of interest:
"Law, business and economics.
My vision of the firm:
"As we are witnessing ever greater disintermediation between clients, banks and companies, one asks oneself where lay the role of the firm and of us in it as future employees. The reason most people prefer doing business through companies is due to the high transaction costs and distrust between one another that used to rain in our society – it was, and still to a certain extent remains, safer to do business via a corporate entity. As Ronald Coase predicted the middle man is becoming obsolete. As distrust in certain industries widens, more peer-to-peer transactions are taking place – via Airbnb and Uber for instance. However, employment within a company becomes interesting as it enables us to gain valuable experience and greater know-how. My vision of the firm is a platform with a diversified workforce where one is given the means to gain new competency and perfect others; skills and competency one doesn’t necessarily get at university."
