Open air cinemas will pop up at three locations in Luxembourg City throughout July and August to screen a variety of films.

Some notable films on this year’s programme include the Hitchcock classic “Rear Window”, Charlie Chaplin’s 1931 film “City Lights, the cult-hit and unironically dubbed ‘worst movie of all time’ “The Room, 2018 Oscar best-picture winner “The Shape of Water, and recent blockbuster hit “Black Panther” (photo).

Films will begin at 21:30 each night and will be screened in their original language with French subtitles. In case of poor weather, plastic rain-ponchos will be handed out to audience members so that the movie-watching can continue. The programme has been put together by the Ville de Luxembourg and the Cinémathèque in conjunction with Kinepolis and Rotondes.

Entrance to the City Open Air with Orange is free. For a full programme of films, see here.
