Watch hate dance

Paperjam.lu

A festival titled “Hate” at neimënster features predominantly French and German language performances, but also a show by a British dance troupe.

A Separation”  (photo: Camilla Greenwell) is a new performance work choreographed and performed by Colin Poole and Simon Ellis of British dance company Colin, Simon and I.

The work is described as an unflinching look at the boundaries of tolerance in relation to race, power, inequality and difference. William Drew of Exuent Magazine said that the work “crosses a line and makes us confront something horrific.”

Also on the festival programme are some shows with English titles but performed in German, as in the case of Luc Spada’s “Hate Fuck, but sweet?” on the same double bill as “A Separation”, or in French and Kinyarwand in the case of Rwandan inspired show “Hate Radio”.
