Dave Graney and Clare Moore of legendary 1980s post-punk outfit The Moodists, as well as Coral Snakes and mistLY, play a free gig in Esch-Alzette.
Invited to Luxembourg by American-born musician Georgio “The Dove” Valentino and his wife Patrizia F, Dave Graney and Clare Moore are launching a European tour with the newlyweds. They will showcase new music from latest album Let’s Get Tight as well as a wealth of back catalogue material. Valentino has toured extensively with Graney and Moore in Australia and the pair also played on his 2016 single ‘Satyros Ironykos’
Graney and Moore have been performing together since the late 1970s when they first formed Sputniks. They later relocated to London as The Moodists and released a slew of critically acclaimed records on Red Flame and also Creation records between 1980 and 1987. The band also recorded a couple of John Peel sessions and were praised for their live performances, including one memorable gig at the Haçienda in Manchester.
The Esch concert is free of charge and precedes a tour of France, Spain and the UK before Graney and Moore head back down under. This really is a great opportunity to catch some real post-punk legends in an intimate setting and for free--don’t miss out.
