Pedestrians, cyclists and roller skaters are encouraged to reclaim the streets of the capital as it closes a number of roads to traffic to mark European mobility week.
Festivities kick off at 11am when the new cycle bridge on Pont Adolphe is officially inaugurated.
Since the bridge itself will be closed to traffic, a community picnic plus food trucks are expected to unfold on the upper level of the bridge.
Why not join local dignitaries in a small spin of the city by bike from 11:30am and then browse the many stands and activities in the city centre.
Sporty people will be able to pick up second-hand sports gear at the flea market in Place Guillaume II from 10am to 5pm. Meanwhile, there will be a bike sale and repair café in place de la Constitution (by the Golden Lady statue).
There will be plenty of information stands and activities in avenue de la Gare and avenue de la Liberté, meanwhile, don’t miss the pedestrian rally, starting and finishing in boulevard Roosevelt.
Bus users are warned of disruptions to bus lines during the day.
